You know the feeling, you're running late for a meeting and haven't quite got your act together. You know you've got to leave in a couple of minutes to get to your destination on time, but you're not quite sure where that destination is. Not a problem you say to yourself, we'll plug the Sat Nav in.....just one problem where is the Sat Nav?
OK...Plan B, there is always a Plan B and this comes in the form of Google Maps route planner. Put in the destination postcode and voila you have your directions, type in your contacts mobile number at the top of the sheet just in case and you're away, Joy! So thats what happened to me a few days ago and smuggly I set off on my journey to the Greyhound of Finchampstead, (which I have to say is a very nice place to hold a meeting) directions in hand.
What I didn't know was there were some major road works between the destination and I, which meant that my wonderful Google directions suddenly let me down as I was forced to stay on the motorway. What a Pain!! At this point panic set in, I was late, I didn't know where I was driving, time to phone my client and admit that I was definitely having a blonde day.... The client happened to be Graham Turrell of Highground property, who after laughing at my predicament, offered a simple solution - Google again! We found a landmark which he simply typed in on Google Earth and then he got the directions easily mapped out for him and talked me in on the phone and as it was laid out for him it was very easy.
Google to the rescue again, and sorry Graham for being late ;(
