Brookside Presbyterian Church

Brookside Presbyterian Church is a Christian church in the heart of county Antrim, Northern Ireland. It has been established approximately 150 years. It first had a website 6 years ago but for 4 years it was completely static with no interaction or change of content.

We felt it important that even as a church we would put our best foot forward in the digital age.
We wanted a site that our church community could manage without massive technical expertise, and with no obvious technical experience within the church we turned to Brendan of IRUN Ballymena for help.
Once he had helped us define what we wanted and what we needed we left him to get on with things.
Whilst left largely to his own devices, Brendan had correctly understood our needs and built the basic site, and filled it with the content from our previous site. Today it serves as a useful medium to reach our own congregation with weekly updates and also for new families to the area to find out more about us before coming in through the door. In this age, even though we’re a doctrinally reformed church, we’ve realised we needed a digital presence to reach a new generation.
We have found good use of the News section, Weekly Announcements and for weekly sermons ‘podcasts’.
The site tracks very well in the search engines for keywords relevant to our general outlook plus also has been crucial in bringing in families who found us because of simple things like the fact that every organisation has its own page of information.
With monthly assistance from IRUN we are improving the online visibility of our site for new visitors and its usefulness for existing members.
Without IRUN we’d still be stuck with a static website with no ability to alter or update the content and no feedback as to how we’re presenting ourselves in this digital age.

London Internet Church

London Internet Church is an integral part of the Diocese of London. It was established in 2006 and is based at the parish church of St Stephen Walbrook at the geographical heart of the City of London.

Problem

The London Internet Church had a website for about 18 months but unfortunately in that time they had been charged many thousands of pounds for site with no content management functionality. This meant the site was static and very quickly became dormant.

Solution

For its new website the London Internet Church chose IRUN's iCMS package as they wanted various “interactive” features to be included within the site which couldn’t be done with WebBuildPRO, e.g.:

The Foundation of Jesus Christ of Nazareth

The Foundation of Jesus Christ of Nazareth Aims to further Gods Kingdom through support for the ministry worldwide. This is our primary mission. The Foundation also seeks to provide aid to the needy primarily, but not exclusively, through church based charities. Our focus is primarily developing countries where help is most needed. Benefiting countries thus far have been Ghana and Nigeria.
